Third-Party and Open-Source Licence Notices

Aperim Pty Ltd (ABN 46150699737; ACN 150699737) is incorporated in New South Wales, Australia and operates the aicial brand. In this notice, “aicial” refers to that brand; “we”, “us” and “our” refer to Aperim Pty Ltd; and “you” refers to a visitor to our website or user of our services.

aicial’s website and services are built using a range of open-source and other third-party software. This notice identifies the major components involved and the licences under which we use them. It covers our website and current productised services, and will extend to our planned self-serve software service once that service becomes available; we will update this notice to reflect the components that service uses at that time.

This notice is provided for attribution and transparency. It does not itself grant you a licence to any of the software listed below, and it does not affect the separate terms on which we make aicial’s own website and services available to you, which are set out in our Terms of Service. Our ownership of aicial’s own intellectual property is addressed separately in our Intellectual Property, Copyright and Trademark Notice.

Major open-source components used to build and run aicial include:

React and React DOM. The UI library used to build the interfaces of aicial’s website and services, used under the MIT License.

Vite. The build tool used to compile and bundle aicial’s front-end code, used under the MIT License.

Tailwind CSS. The utility-first styling framework underlying aicial’s design system, used under the MIT License.

Hono. The web framework used for server-side request handling in aicial’s services, used under the MIT License.

Drizzle ORM and Drizzle Kit. The database toolkit used to define, query and migrate aicial’s database schema, used under the Apache License 2.0 (Drizzle ORM) and the MIT License (Drizzle Kit).

TypeScript. The programming language used across aicial’s codebase, used under the Apache License 2.0.

Lenis. A smooth-scrolling library used on aicial’s website, used under the MIT License.

Space Grotesk and Instrument Serif. The typefaces used in aicial’s visual identity, embedded in our website, used under the SIL Open Font License 1.1.

We use these and our other open-source components under their respective open-source licences, primarily the MIT License, with some components — noted above — licensed under the Apache License 2.0, and the embedded typefaces licensed under the SIL Open Font License 1.1.

aicial’s website also uses GSAP, an animation library that powers motion and scroll effects on our landing page. GSAP is not open-source software. Its publisher makes it available at no charge under its own Standard “No Charge” GSAP License rather than an open-source licence; current terms are published at gsap.com/standard-license. Our use of GSAP is governed by that licence, not by the open-source licences described in the previous section.

aicial’s website and services also run on Cloudflare’s platform software. That software is proprietary to Cloudflare, and we use it under our agreement with them rather than under an open-source licence. Our Sub-processor List describes what Cloudflare provides in more detail.

We do not reproduce full licence texts on this page. The complete licence text for each open-source component listed above is available from that project’s own public repository or its listing on the npm package registry.

Where an open-source licence requires us to reproduce a copyright notice or licence text within distributed software, we work towards including that notice in the relevant software build. Until a given component’s notice is included in our build output, the copyright notice and licence text for that component remain available from its own public repository or npm package listing, as described above.

This notice summarises the major open-source and other third-party software components aicial’s website and services are built on. It is not an exhaustive list of every software package or transitive dependency we use, and we do not update it for every routine dependency change.

A complete, current dependency manifest is available on request. Email legal@aicial.com and we will provide it.

We update this notice as we adopt, upgrade, replace or remove a major open-source or third-party software component. Because those changes are routine, we do not separately notify you of each update. The version, effective date and last-reviewed date shown at the top of this notice identify the current version.
