Cookie Policy

Version: 1.0

Effective date: 19 August 2026

Last reviewed: 19 August 2026

This Cookie Policy explains how Aperim Pty Ltd, which operates the aicial brand, uses cookies and similar technologies on our website and waitlist, and the choices available to you. It should be read together with our Privacy Policy, which explains how we handle personal information more generally.

1. About this policy

Aperim Pty Ltd (ABN 46150699737; ACN 150699737) is incorporated in New South Wales, Australia and operates the aicial brand. In this policy, “aicial” refers to that brand; “we”, “us” and “our” refer to Aperim Pty Ltd; and “you” refers to a visitor to our website or waitlist.

This policy explains the cookies and similar technologies used on our website and waitlist, why we use them, and how you can control them. It is a companion to our Privacy Policy, which explains how we collect, use, disclose and protect personal information more generally. Where a cookie or similar technology involves personal information, that handling is also governed by the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles, as our Privacy Policy describes in more detail.

Other websites you reach through links from our website have their own cookie and privacy practices, which this policy does not cover.

3. Strictly necessary cookies

Strictly necessary cookies are required for our website and waitlist to work as requested and cannot be switched off without affecting that functionality. We consider cookies that are strictly necessary to provide a service you have requested exempt from the consent requirement in Article 5(3) of the EU ePrivacy Directive 2002/58/EC, and from the equivalent United Kingdom exemption for information strictly necessary to provide a requested service under Schedule A1 to the Privacy and Electronic Communications (EC Directive) Regulations 2003 (inserted by the Data (Use and Access) Act 2025), because they are strictly necessary to provide the service you asked for. We remain transparent about them in this policy regardless.

Our waitlist form is designed to use Cloudflare Turnstile, a challenge that helps distinguish genuine visitors from automated bots and spam before a submission is accepted. Turnstile is not yet active on our waitlist form. When it is, it will not set a cookie on your device to remember that you passed: your browser instead solves a short challenge and receives a one-time verification token, which our server checks directly with Cloudflare, our infrastructure and security provider, before accepting your submission. That token is not used to track you across other websites or to serve advertising.

4. Theme and language preferences

On our legal and policy pages, you can choose a light, dark or automatic display theme, and we remember that choice using your browser’s local storage, not a cookie. Your theme preference therefore stays on your device and is not automatically sent to our servers with each page you view. If local storage is unavailable or you clear it, for example in private browsing, those pages fall back to matching your device’s own light or dark setting. Our main website also lets you switch theme, but that choice is not currently saved: it applies only for your current visit and resets to automatic the next time you visit.

You see aicial in a particular language because of the page address you visit or the language option you select. We do not store that display-language choice in a cookie, in local storage, or elsewhere; each visit shows the version of the page for the language you navigate to. If you join our waitlist, the language you used for the form is stored as part of your waitlist record so we can send related communications, such as your confirmation email, in that language; that is a business record described in our Privacy Policy, not a display preference tracked by this section.

5. Analytics and advertising

We do not currently use:

  • analytics cookies or similar technologies; or
  • advertising, retargeting or cross-site tracking cookies or pixels.

No third-party advertising network, social-media pixel or analytics tracker is embedded on our website at this stage. Beyond the technologies described in sections 3 and 4, aicial does not set any other cookie or similar technology.

Cloudflare, our infrastructure and security provider, secures our website at the network level and may set its own cookies as part of that role, independently of anything aicial configures. We will name any such cookie here once we have confirmed it applies to our website.

If this changes, for example if we later add analytics to understand how our website is used, we will update this policy first to describe the change. Where applicable law requires your consent before a non-essential cookie is set, including the EU ePrivacy Directive described in section 3 and, in the United Kingdom, the Privacy and Electronic Communications (EC Directive) Regulations 2003, we will ask for that consent before setting the cookie and provide a way to withdraw it.

6. Managing cookies through your browser

Most browsers let you view, block or delete cookies through their settings, and let you clear local storage in the same place. Because browser menus change and differ by device, we do not describe specific steps here; your browser’s help resources explain how for your version.

Blocking scripts from challenges.cloudflare.com, or disabling JavaScript, will stop the Turnstile check described in section 3 from running once it is active, which can prevent your waitlist submission from being accepted. Clearing local storage will reset your theme preference to automatic on the pages described in section 4; it does not otherwise affect your use of our website.

7. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy to reflect changes to the cookies and similar technologies we use, or to our legal obligations. The version, effective date and last-reviewed date shown at the top identify the current policy. We publish the updated policy on our website and, where a change is material, provide additional notice through the website before the change takes effect.
